I feel like I've repeated myself every month this year, but Sentai has been a monster the past 2 years (in a lovable, fantastic kind of way).

I'll be getting everything but Shining Hearts, but I'm really looking forward to The Garden of Words and Medaka Box.

Finally Tsuritama

Wow surprised it's actually getting a dub.

Wow, a month where literally everything gets a bilingual release!

Gotta admit, part of me didn't really expect Tsuritama to get a dub. Shows how much I know.

Trying to whore me out of money, Sentai?

Of the lot, Tsuritama has my interest and maybe Garden of Words (hesitant for now since I'm not a Shinkai fan).

tsuritama! Finally! Been waiting for that one for a while. I didn't think that it would get a dub though... that's kind of a surprise.

Might get The Garden of Words as well. I do like Shinkai.

I'm a little befuddled with Section23's acquisition of New Dominion Tank Police. I recall it being a sequel to the original Dominion Tank Police series. If so, why license and release it before the original OVA? I'd think folks would want to see the original series before the sequel.

I think the most plausible explanation to your question is that, for whatever reason, Sentai couldn't get the rights to DTP. Somehow, I can't picture them saying for no reason, "eh, let's not even bother trying to get the original, we'll go right for the sequel."

Section23 is just a distributor. It doesn't license any anime or live-action properties. They are distributing New Dominion Tank Police for Maiden Japan.

As for why yes to New Dominion Tank Police and no (as of right now) to Dominion Tank Police, you have to look at the JP licensor/distributor. Both OVAs have different licensors. New Dominion Tank Police is with Bandai Visual. A number of recent Maiden Japan licenses thus far are also from Bandai Visual (Black Magic M-66 and Ruin Explorers). A package license deal is very possible here (with maybe more to come).

Forgot to post, but Medaka Box looks like buy for me that month. Although I may want to save for September's offerings.

Oh wow, I didn't realize they were releasing Garden of Words so soon. Hell, it doesn't even get released in Japan until next week. That they can release a BD just a month and a half after shows how strong their partnership with Comix Wave is.
