I love everything that kyoto animation have made so far but I think this may be the first show I won't enjoy.

Am I the only one who was depressed at the announcement?

Because seriously i don't watch kyoto animation shows to see pretty dudes...
I love the art and story of there shows but all the main characters are dudes... No thanks kyoani.

(btw this announcement probably would have excited me if they changed the genders of the characters.)

I will watch it probably just because... well kyoani... But still, Wheres my moe?
So now you know how we feel when we see all that moe anime.

You feed on tears?

My god, you're worse than that disgusting show where they drink drool.

In the 12-15 other shows that will cater to your exacting specific whims and fetishes that get produced every season, 4 times a year, not including OVAs and movies.

This is like looking at a huge pile of food you love and then noticing one other person has a plate of food you don't love and complaining that somehow that person having what they want diminishes your enjoyment of the HUGE PILE OF FOOD YOU LOVE IN FRONT OF YOU.

There's plenty of 2D boobies out there, relax.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to this new show.

The KyoAni shows are wagyu beef, the rest is Outback quality, Applebee's entree, or worse. That's entirely why people even care about this in the first place, that it's by KyoAni not that it exists at all. If A-1, Madhouse, Brain's Base, DEEN, Sunrise, AIC and variants, JC Staff, or virtually any other studio was making this this anime, the argument would have have been a blip. Everyone's mad jelly and irate that KyoAni isn't exclusively theirs.

I see it as a good thing that a major player is willing to expand their genres. Wish them success with this.
