It must be nice to have a voice where you can say literally any word and it's hilarious.

I wonder why they had Wakamoto do that. I guess they couldn't get a hold of Fumihiko Tachiki.

Yeah, when they aren't making Lovecraft jokes they're making Kamen Rider jokes.

All the stuff with Kuuko was totally HNNNNNNNNRG. They definitely make the best couple.

On the other end Nyaruko continues to irritate me. Yeah, she loves him a lot but that doesn't give her any sort of right of possession. Just because her feelings are strong doesn't make him her's. Once again she fails to see that her approach is what's problematic and of course she gets let off the hook. The status quo marches on...

One of the few episodes where I got most of the references; spoiler[Kuune doing Rika's pose from Chuunibyou, Nyaruko wishing for a death note, and the baby name, Kuroko, from Kuroko no Basket and Railgun].

I liked how Shantak-kun was acting like those weird woman that get all excited when another person talks about their proposal/love life. A few here and my dorm roommate do not like Nyaruko and I can totally understand why. But I actually like her the most out of all the characters. I like it when a girl is direct, even if it is too forced at times.

You must be new around here.

That's what I was going to write, but I see you have almost three thousand posts. In all that time of posting about anime, what has led you to believe it works any other way?

W, Episode 6

"be rent! Synaps break!"
"I'll destroy that illusion of yours!"
Smile Good to know I can still get some references easy.

While Kuuko is cute, especially in this episode, I still much rather Nyaruko. She is crazy a lot of the time that it can be annoying as it is unwanted by the protagonist, but I like to look at it from the angle of her being semi embarrassed if not acting like that, and being incredibly frustrated. The scene in this episode where she was incredibly honest and tried to get an honest answer from Mahiro was great.

Also that level of angry Nyaruko reminded me of her brother.

Episode 6

My brain tells me that Nyarko doesn't make a very compelling argument (and if it wasn't already obvious that Mahiro spoiler[kinda, but most probably actually likes her back, but he's being hella tsundere], I'd mostly feel like she has been spoiler[cornering him too much this this stuff and isn't giving him much of a choice])...

But then she starts spoiler[wailing like a baby] and I was like "oh god, I want to hug her now" and tell her everything is going to be okay.

I'm clearly too weak...

...

But I'm okay with this.

No new episode this week, so a season 1 ova was released. I was hoping they would do a parody of Madoka since it was about magical girls, but I think it was just a generic magical girl skit. There were references to Medaka Box, Hyouka, Dragon Ball Z, Accel World, and Men in Black.

Season 1, OVA

For some reason I was especially fond of the Hyouka reference, something funny about the cutest part of that series being used by Nyaruko.

Well they learned a valuable lesson, don't make fun of spoiler[Cthulhu's age (or perhaps looks)], and a spoiler[Nyarlathotep magical girl] is a bad idea. Well Mahiro was obviously not aware that being a spoiler[magical girl does not stop someone from going nuts.]

I also thought that I caught a possible Attack on Titan reference when Luhy was spoiler[wearing a drill Sargent hat] with the spoiler[until then you are the lowest] thing. Now that I think about it, is there a bit of a running gag of Kuuko being to obvious with her references, she tends to get a sigh or a tap from Mahiro.

Episode 7.

Not much to say. Beach episode. The hottest one was Hiro's mom.

Things sure did get hot, in more ways than one.

Wilson!
I really wanted to see spoiler[Luhy teach Nyaruko and Kuuko this time instead of the mother] again. And who asks Cthulhu for a swim? Apparently Cthulhu and Hastur have some sort of connection, so why there was a thing there.

Not the most interesting beach/pool episode, but Mahiro seems to be lowering his fighting off of Nyaruko.

Look forward to next week, now we get spoiler[Shanta-kun in human (loli) form]. Yay!
