Considering the individual discs were $20 more retail, it is a good deal in comparison, especially with all the extra crap you get. I hope each DVD has an individual case, like a boxset format.

In case you didn't see my post in the Retail section about the FLCL set, here's the full details of what the set will contain:

Features:
- Collector’s box
- All 6 episodes on 3 DVD discs
- Director’s Commentary
- Storyboard Comparison
- Image Gallery
- FLCL Test Type (Animation from FLCL, music by the Pillows)
- And MORE!

Bonus items include:
- FLCL T-Shirt Postcard (Redeemable for one (1) t-shirt, size Small - XL)
- Sticker Sheet featuring all FLCL Logos (9 stickers)
- Postcard Set featuring robots from FLCL (6 postcards)
- FLCL Ultimate Book featuring translation notes, English voice actor interviews, manga scenes, and more!

I'll be pre-ordering this set sometime this week. This looks pretty sweet for a $70 set.

Normaly, I wouldn't consider it, but with all those extras it might finally be time to delete my DVR saves and buy it. I already have the whole American-released soundtrack anyway.

They REALLY would've had me IF they had included an FLCL figure of someone like Haru Haruko. Wink I have all 6 dub eos on tape.

sorry... but... I think they're smoking crack... Its bad enough that they need to support their heroine habbit with $20+ individual discs... (6) 30min episodes... for $70 it should include a life size inflatable Haruhara Rolling Eyes

That alone would be worth $70. IMO, that is.

Yet another anime release I must spend money on in November. With the FMA LE and the Transformers 20th Anniversary DVD, I already am spending a fair amount. I guess I'll wait and see if the prices drop for this one after a little while. Rolling Eyes

Already own the series. Why bother? I'd rather save up for Pani Poni Dash!.

I find it odd people are bashing this based on its price. It's a much better deal than the old FLCL DVDs which were $30 each when they came out.

If you really want expensive, each FLCL episode was something like $37 in Japan. Ouch!

Sounds nice, but having already owning the series, seems a bit expensive to burn money on. The extras are nice, but they arent enough for me to drop 70 bucks on.
