Does anyone have any information about 'Try Force', the band credited with writing and performing the music soundtrack to anime series such as 'Heat Guy J'? It's for a brief article I'm writing about this particular anime. I heard that the 'Heat Guy J' soundtrack CD came with an insert booklet that contains an interview with the band, but I'm in the UK and can't get hold of a copy to find out for myself. I'd be very grateful for any tips or clues!

Isn't their name a Zelda reference? I love the music in Heat Guy J which has a nice range to it. The bagpipe sound is really awesome. I've always like when the BGM composer also writes the main theme song since it integrates with the background music well.

Try Force is a musical group which consists of Kageyama Hironobu, Sudoh Ken'ichi, Kohno Yohgo, and Kuriyama Yoshichika.
Besides the music for Heat Guy J, works by Try Force include the music for Wandaba Style and the first OP theme for Garo, a live-action TV series directed by Amemiya Keita.
Since Try Force is closely related to JAM Project (JAM Project is a musical group specialising in anime songs. Kageyama Hironobu is a member of JAM Project, too.), Try Force is sometimes called Ura-JAM.

That's understandable – before his return to his high school-equivalent life, he watched everyone he loved die in one before ultimately succumbing himself. It's undoubtedly a unique experience: a little cute, a little off-putting, a little horrifying, and more focused on being intriguing rather than satisfying.― Anime OVAs can feel like a lost art nowadays. Gone is the era of many lavishly animated, often ultraviolent indulgences funded by dubious sources. So, too, are the subsequent times of esoteric direct-to-video experiments largely comprised of vi...

Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You is a must-see as an upcoming summer release—just wait for the full-length cut.― Two jaded-looking adults chatting as they smoke caught my attention when I saw the announcement of this anime adaptation. As a working professional, I'm more inclined to watch a slice-of-life anime that features characters around my age group over an action title, especially one th...

Despite treading this familiar ground, Saved by the Ice Cold Prince feels fresh.― Once upon a time, there was a count. He had two daughters, one with his wife and one with a maid. The daughter of the countess was treated with love, affection, and care – probably too much. The maid's daughter, on the other hand, was treated with cruelty and harshness, made to live with her dying mother in a cold atti...
A new direction for God of War, plenty of Marvel news, and of course the burning question of what Jean-Karlo will play next fill this week's column.― Welcome back, folks! At the time of writing, I'm quite close to finishing the first entry in .hack//GU. I'm looking forward to jumping into a shorter game once I'm done. I've been considering Gravity Circuit as it had a sequel announced recently. On th...
I entered one of the Stand Abilities Lab's designated booths to come face to face with a grueling series of six tests based on moments from the JoJo's series.― There are innumerable reasons why Hirohiko Araki's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series has captured the imagination of fans around the world.
