I'm not completely positive, but Rahxephon91 has called him out on it in the Spike Lee Oldboy thread, so at least i'm not the only one who thinks so

Well, ReverseTitan has mentioned earlier that he's in Hong Kong. Was that were Yamada was from?

If so, then I think we might have our man.

OK, I think this is where the moderator (Tony K, if you're reading this) should have the person investigated to make sure it's not the same person. If ReverseTitan is the same person, then this person is going to use a different IP address, not the same one everytime. So got to be careful.

Did Mentalmachine/Yamadakun write something like this like how Reversetitan is doing:

ReverseTitan wrote:
@Romska U mad? Do you honestly think they give two shits about $10 lost? Hell, do Disney actually care about Ghibli? No, they care about Miyazaki. Hayao Miyazaki to be precise.

@Shiroi Hane DBZ was edited in both the US and UK, but Toonami UK edited it even further to make room for commercials and shit. And even though it's not anime, again, the example of Regular Show comes up again. Also, the leader of your country is David Cameron, who is a Conservative. As far as I care to know, that makes your country run by a conservative. I'm fully aware both the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives are in a coalition, but that was not out of choice, for your information. I've lived in the UK. It's no different sensitivity wise to America. Both full of censorship and crybabies.

@GATSU Nobody cares about the Oscars/Annies. They lost their credibility when they put only American animation in the best voice acting category, as well as their refusal to admit that there are dubs of anime that can match or surpass domestic animation voice work. Oscars are too easy for me to bash.

Reversetitan wrote:
@Adamb Never, use Britain as an example to prove anything against the US. Ever. Britain itself is a rather conservative country, run by conservatives. At least the States is run by a liberal in the form of Barack Obama. Censorship/sensitivity levels there can exceed the US in many ways. As I said before, a show for kids, Regular Show is censored. The US censored Regular Show, too, but Britain pretty much purges the show of its purpose, even though the show has virtually no objectionable content. Britain, at least England lacks sexual education as well. Britain as a whole is basically a wannabe America anyway. It's best not to use it as an example, since anything the US does stupidly/wrong, you can bet the UK will do it, just in lesser bursts. Same goes for Canada, since Canada is just America, with liberal fold and less intrusive.

Also, it's not like Japanese themselves don't have some conservative issues. CoughInfamousCEROZCough. A game for teens, which isn't THAT violent is rated CERO Z. Think about it. That's not to talk about their own games which they gut, while Europeans and Americans get a version that they don't even see. Final Fantasy XII, Metal Gear Rising, No More Heroes, Ninja Gaiden(Xbox). If Americans and by extension westerners are scared of sexual content, then Japanese are dead afraid of even the slightest bit of violence, which is odd, since the PG-12 movie has more gore than COD, yet COD gets slapped with CERO Zs, not to mention censored and the like, Uncharted actually gets part of the gameplay altered, which is really, really bad. See, it's not just the States. Japanese can be prudes TOO.

Finally, it's not wise to use Japanese porn to prove your point, since that will bite you in the ass. Japanese porn, unlike US porn is CENSORED. It's not really porn in that regard.

@Marco Sensei That should apply to Japan, too. Call of Duty, is SUPPOSED TO BE VIOLENT! What is the point of censoring a game BUILT ON VIOLENCE? If Persona 4 shouldn't be hit with Ms and shit for having sexual themes, COD should be rated CERO D, with all the blood intact.

yeah, that was me. How do you go about searching for people who have made an account? I can't remember exactly what Yamada said, but RT's post mirrors that of Yamada: a hard on for anime dubs and VA's from California, disdain for Texas dubs, singling out Steven Foster like he's the only ADR director at Sentai.

again, perhaps I'm just being paranoid here and it is just a very bizarre coincidence

I do not have the foggiest clue of who you are talking about, but I can destroy all of your arguments, one by one.

1. The "hating on Texas dubs and the loving of California dubs."

Erm, proof? I TRASHED the overrated, overhyped piece of shit Cowboy Bebop dub, which is from Animaze, LA, CALIFORNIA. That is THE California dub and I SHAT on it. No, I do not like many Texas dubs or at least Funimation dubs, because they stray away from the script and the voice actors they use are less technically sound than their CA counterparts, as well as the fact LA studios generally write much better and much more literal/accurate scripts. It's not like I like ALL LA VAs. I hate Christina Vee as a voice actor. Yes, she is very, very hot and sexy, but as a VOICE ACTRESS, she sucks. The same applies to Lauren Landa. Sexy, but not good at acting. I also dislike the VA of Ryu from the Street Fighter anime series. He also does Vicious from Bebop and he sucked. Then we have Brice Papenbook, who is a shadow of his father, Dorothy Fahn, who sucks, that VA who plays Nunally from the Geass franchise and many more. Do not make stupid generalizations about my tastes. If YamadaKun shared my opinions/facts/thoughts, then how is he me? Are Japanese people Korean, because to the untrained eye they look the same or whatever? Stop spouting out stupid bullshit.

2. This may get me as a hypocrite(see generalization post), but Steven Foster is in most or loads of Sentai dubs. The 2cm dub which he directed was bashed by even the Japanese creators. Even Shinkai disapproved of it, hence why he GOT Bang Zoom and Bandai to create a new dub, in association with the company he worked for. He ruined so many dubs and altered the tone of so many anime, that it's cringeworthy. It certainly doesn't help that he is the majority director/writer of Sentai's dubs.

You know shit about me. Stop accusing me of shit, when you have ZERO evidence to back yourself up.

... Even if he is not I think that post sums up the kind of character we have been trying to avoid. Unnecessary use profanity, aggressive and argumentative (and not in a productive or thought provoking way). Sorry if that's a little harsh but it's not hard to tone back a little. Rolling Eyes

I have to agree with TsunaReborn!. Even if they aren't the same person, it's still the same behaviour.

Didn't YamadaKun and/or Tenjin also have this whole "I don't know who you are talking about" or "that's not me, that's my cousin" thing going on whenever they were called out on evading bans?

Why, yes they did.

AND... both of them were from Hong Kong, as well.

"Small world", perhaps, but in my opinion, it's far too much of a coincidence to ignore.

BTW... Don't you find it a little bit more than a coincidence that ReverseTitan would pay close attention to a topic about MentalMachine, despite the fact that he apparently has no ties to the man?

Something to think about...

mdo7 informed him about this topic in the Accel World blu-ray review after My Names Not Rick! called him Yamada and he responded with confusion

Yes I did, when I saw ReverseTitan I reminded him that if he is Yamadakun/MentalMachine then if he start causing trouble, he'll not get away with it. Also if he is the same person, as I said, he will use different IP to bypass the IP ban. So as Shioi Hane said, I do see some "amazing coincidence" between ReverseTitan and Yamadakun/MentalMachine.

If anybody seriously believes ReverseTitan isn't actually Yamada/Tenjin using a different account, then I've got a bridge to sell you. Multiple bridges, in fact.

Yeah, he is so obviously Tenjin it hurts. People have very distinct posting styles on the internet and it's obvious that he is Tenjin, he's got a very distinct style to his posts and argues the same points.

Just FYI, ReverseTitan was put on Moderated status after I looked into one of his reported posts a couple of weeks ago, so anything he says goes through a filter to be approved or not.

His current IP address seems to be dynamic and is shared by various other ANN users, so I can't mark the account a spambot ('cause then all the other accounts would get banned), but Moderated is just as good.
