I am morbidly curious about this. How are the subtitles? Were they bastardized with the original Star Blazers names?

I had the time last night to watch the first two episodes. The subtitles read well and use the Japanese names for people/things. No Argos here.

*EDIT* I finished the third and fourth episode. Very much uses the Japanese names.

Also, no song translations. Guess they didn't want to spend the money on that license.
