These rankings are great! But I believe some should be higher than others.

With this Toei animation has 4 titles in the Top 10 TV ranking.
One Piece, Kindaichi, Dragon Ball Kai and Happiness Charge Precure!

Let's see if Haikyuu is able to appear in this rankings.

Doraemon and Shin-chan will be back in the next ranking so it's unlikely.

I am curious about how anime compares to other shows.
Is there a web site, in English, that shows all of the TV ratings?
I could not find anything useful with Google, but my search skills are not the greatest.

You have the top 10 for several categories : anime (in 5), movies (in 6), music shows (in 3), drama (in 4)...

Thank you for that link.
I am pleasantly surprised that anime does so well against other types of shows.

Except that anime does not do so well against that last category (8) which seems to dominate the ratings.
Are those mostly comedies and specials?

the translation feature on Google Chrome says category 8 is Entertainment Programs. A couple of the show names sound like comedies

Bad week for Kai, and One Piece. Oh well, Japan wasn't the intended market for this Kai revival anyways.

Japan really loves detective shows. It used to be Conan that was in the top 10, and now it's Kindaichi. I watched the first 2 episodes of Kindaichi, and it's pretty good. So I like that it's in the top 10.

It isn't as if Detective Conan is now missing from the top ten, as in this listing it comes in at #3.

Well, it is the first tv anime the series has gotten in nearly fifteen years. I'm enjoying it so far and am trying to scrounge up the older series. Sure, it's formulaic but it is a fun mystery series with zero pretense. What really shocked me is that one of the writers was the writer for Getbackers as well. Dude is prolific as hell.
