I might eventually get the Bodacious Space Pirates set if the movie offers more closure to the TV series. And another month without a release date for Chuunibyou S1. I hope Sentai is at least able to release it this year.

Kill Me Baby is a hysterical show, but it didn't exactly need a blu ray release. Still, I'll likely pick it up and sell my DVD copy (same goes for F/SN). I was literally going to pick up both blu ray volumes of Bodacious Space Pirates last night through the Deep Discount Section 23 + 15% off sale, but I removed them from my cart before checking out. This is much better. Sunday Without God will also be picked up at some point. Good month overall.

So happy for Sw/oG! Now, they just need to solicit the last 3 things I'm waiting on them for... (Outlaw Star, Zegapain, and Log Horizon)

Sunday Without God, that one turned out to be a lot better than it should have been. A definite buy for me.

Kill Me Baby, I have the DVD and it's still one of my more questionable buys. If it wasn't for Agiri, it'd be unwatchable.

A complete collection of Space Pirates ... I don't know; There were highlights but the show never had the confidence to commit to anything. For one thing, if the lead was male and none of the other girls' personalities were changed, it'd certainly be considered a harem.

Rozen Maiden season 3 is getting dubbed, interesting. I'll have to watch it one of these days.

And I love the extra ten dollars stuck on the Fate/Stay Night BD. Money paid for value earned, I always say. This has nothing to do with that, of course as the show's a mess and it's the name that gets the money.

Wait, Fate/Stay Night retailing for $99.98? Isn't it like from 2005? Ha, ha, ha you kill me Sentai and not like Kill Me Baby at least it knows its supposed to be a comedy. I'm glad I own the original DVDs with the artbox as this release will probably be barebones and even street price of $60 on TRSI doesn't cut it. I have a soft spot for Fate/Stay Night, but it isn't that great of a show and yea it feels like an attempt to cash in on the popularity of the franchise.

Looks like the Rozen Maiden remake and Sunday Without God will get my attention for October.

Sweet! I'm getting Meganebu and Hakkenden Season 2 for sure and it's about time they released Bodacious Space Pirates in a complete collection. I've been waiting for that.

Would've bought Kill Me Baby in a heartbeat if they'd added the OVA, but as it is it can wait. I liked Sunday Without God, but I do feel they kind of threw away the story's central ideas after the first arc, so it ends up on the wait-and-see pile. Ah the joys of having a $200 figure to save for and no money to do it with.

Rozen Maiden: Zuruckspulen is a definite pick-up for me since it was mostly good and I have the others.

Same here except without the figure to save for.

Is there a thread of blu-ray releases that say if a title is 1080i and 1080p, that sort of stuff.

I was looking into some titles, and see people complaining about the
i and p resolution thing, so was curious if someone made a list.

Also, I have a few blu-ray releases from Sentai (not sure if they're crap or not), but I see a lot of people complain about their quality of the release (not talking about a dub or package) but more in the area of like compression and the sort

I almost made a list
earlier blu-ray titles might be interlaced so you have to take care

sentai films
Dream Eater Merry

Viz media
Rinne no lagrage season 1
Inuyasha
Nura season 1 (maybe also 2)
(the USA Nura is also the TV broadcast, not the true blu-ray release)

people talking about compression are probably talking about DVD to blu-ray upscale releases
most of it doesn't matter
be more wary of unsolictied TV broadcast releases like sankarea and probably what happened to Ben-to

I guess you are asking about the Fate stay night blu-ray release, but I can't comment on that since I own the old geneon DVD

No, I'm not interested in that series

I was looking into other things, like Penguin Drum, but people said Sentai really butchered it. They seemed to also complain about Bodacious Space Pirates quality.

Had me wondering if I own any of their releases that got bad treatments.

^ Here's a list of Sentai's bad 1080i releases. The Japanese BDs for them are 1080p except Fate/Stay which is 1080i. These have a ton of motion artifacts and posterization due to poor authoring. They look terrible IMO:

Canaan
Dream Eater Merry
Penguindrum
Bodacious Space Pirates
Fate/Stay Night
Kamisama Dolls
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 (the Japanese audio is screwed up on episode 7 or 8 I think as it only comes out of one channel, like what Kids On the Slope had)
This Boy Can Fight Aliens

Sentai got their act together last year after months of non-stop complaints. They've done a few 1080i BDs since then and they look okay compression wise so this isn't an issue with them anymore. Now whether they are going to fix these on the re-releases, that remains to be seen.

Viz also had the same authoring issues with 1080i last year on the releases potatochobit listed, but they've got it under control too. They haven't fixed any of them though.
