Heh. Took me a little while to place this, as I haven't seen this in ages. It's the Zetsubou Sensei drawing song from Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei, sung by a variety of different characters over the course of the series.

You are correct!
I like to watch this anime once in while. Your turn.

Next quote, from the subs:
Character A: "Hey, Character B. . ."
Character B: "Mmmm?"
Character A: "I'm kind of getting tired of spending time with Character C."

Nothing wild about that guess. It's the pivotal early scene from that series - the point where things gradually start to go wrong - and all of the characters were identified correctly.
And guess what's next on my review plate?

At first I thought it was a tad generic; then it struck me as being soooooo School Days.
I'm at work. Please minigame.

Oh god. I feel for you.
Well at least the review's discussion thread will be fun to read.

I'm in the process of writing the review right now and I think you may be surprised by some of what I have to say about it, dtm42. There's actually a lot more there to analyze than I originally anticipated. (Have seen it before in fansubs, but it's been quite a while.)

I like the series myself, and have a decent amount to say about it, too. I'll save that for the review thread as well.

I was talking about Makoto and how nearly-unwatchably horrible he is. But School Days does come across as a deconstruction (whether intentionally or not) of harem shows. It depicts how a guy can be ill-prepared to have multiple girls throw themselves at him, how bad it can be when he strings the girls along and how that can negatively affect their mental states. In that sense the show succeeds. But I'll save further thoughts for the discussion thread.

I also like the series, Galap.
Did you finish it, dtm42. It's not in your anime lists.
Deconstruction or no, I think it is a deliberate pisstake of the harem genre, done more or less po-faced. The problem with trying to be funny but presenting seriously is that too many people miss the lampoon come satire. (Particularly people of a serious bent or who like their comedy obvious. ) Of course Makoto is nigh unwatchably horrible. That's the point. He's the male at the centre of a harem of females. The last six episodes collapse nicely into a steaming pile of delirium. I also have to say I love the names of the two female characters in the quote, both in how they sound and in what they mean.
Anyway, on to the quote. This is from the dub. And apologies for the delay.
**Piercing scream**
Voice: She’s been stabbed in the chest!
Voice: Is she breathing? Miss XXXX!
Voice: Where did you come from?
Voice: How did you get in here?
Voice: You look suspicious. Identify yourself.
Character: Suspicious am I? You’re quite right in thinking that of me.
Voices: Mmm. Huh?
Character: Listen closely. If we don’t set up more barriers in the back rooms it will become… (faces camera)… dangerous.

My list is currently a disaster zone which I'm in the process of cleaning up, but it will take some time. I've been working through my backlog and there are many shows that need to be added.
But to answer your question, no, I never finished School Days, in fact I've only watched a couple of episodes. It's just that I've heard so many spoilers about it (especially regarding the infamous ending) that I have a fair idea what happens and what the characters are like.

Then watch it. It's painful, but quick. This is one of those shows where a couple of things overshadow pretty much anything else that happens. Makoto's terribleness is a meme, so is its ending. When you watch it you'll at least have some basis for calling it "deconstruction" or not.

Don't worry, I intend to finish it. But with a two-thousand-episode backlog that gets longer by the day, it ain't easy . . .
