...could someone please explain to me how not being a member of 4chan makes someone an ignorant person who only likes mainstream stuff like Naruto and Dragonball Z?
(By the way, 4channer(s), it's not that hard to figure out that the people saying memes are merely making fun of you.) |

I assumed the way this board is set up, what with all new members on mod approved posting, that a raid would be very hard, near impossible that is to execute. |

Forget Nymphet. I'm just happy that Ecchi Attack has returned.

Wow. Im shocked that you've got an internet connection under that rock you've obviously been living under. O well, at least this whole issue is done with. Now all we gotta do is get through the enevitable wave of pedophiles whining about censorship. |

There is something ironic about deriding people who happen to disagree as "underage," "immature," and "virgin" when the series under discussion is called "Kodomo (Children) no Jikan" and the author's chosen English title was going to be "Nymphet"--"a pubescent girl regarded as sexually desirable." Rin, the "nymphet" in question and the center of the story, happens to be underage, immature, and virgin. There are some credible points from all sides of these discussions, but they aren't being effectively made while casting these labels. |

Congratulations for detecting the irony there, which was so obvious (albeit unintentional) and irrelevant that no one else bothered to point it out. Kudos, my friend. Can you detect the sarcasm in this post too? I'm not here to make a point; I've read the threads and people on the defensive regarding this issue have already said everything that can be said, and those offended by it nosily repeated their sentiments in the same format over and over again. If you can provide one actual good point to me right now as to why this should have been cancelled on the whim of people who find it offensive, that I can't derail, then I'll agree that both sides have made "credible" arguments. But it's basically been a case of: I don't like this! You don't have to by it || That doesn't mean it has to be censored/unreleased || Ususal loli rhetoric Screw that, I still don't like this!!! IT MUST BE STOPPED! I'm just here to show my frustration over the decision and the people who caused it. |

Obviously unintentional? The point is that there is no need for derisive labels that reflect worse on one's own arguments, especially when those labels "unintentionally" point out aspects in the topic under discussion.
Who said there was only two sides? Why is there this "if you're not with us, you're against us" mentality? There is room for people who weren't advocating for this title to be cancelled, but who find arguments comparing Kodomo no Jikan to Crayon Shin-chan and Card Captor Sakura specious.
Is the frustration justification for calling all of a forum's users except "3 or 4" "underage, clinically retarded," "immature and ignorant," "completely uneducated," and "insecure virgin geeks"? Does that improve the discussion any? |

This is such a freaking shame. No one takes risks anymore. Basing a decision on the flamings of one particular corner of the online anime community is really bad judgment. It never should have come to this, but people just have to screw everything up. Well done.

I completely agree. The difference is fairly obvious and clear.
Highly incorrect. Due to the alluded to sexuality of the minor involved it clearly and without debate meets the stated criteria for what constitutes child porn as opined in the last Supreme Court ruling on the subject. The only issue that is debatable is the question of whether drawn child porn actually is covered under the ruling or not. Major retailers will not touch this with a ten foot pole because of the political atmosphere and groups ready and willing to jump at ANYTHING along these lines. If the paranoid public got a whiff of this then nearly every manga comic book that had sexual innuendo in it would be pegged as child-porn, and only add more fuel to the fire for them to make a case for drawn child nudity equating child porn. |

I don't believe that is correct. Nymphet doesn't contain any actual sexual content, or allude to any actual sexual activity, so it can't really be defined as child pornography.
That, however, is very correct. |

Alright, this thread has required way too much moderation and clean up to keep it alive and I think this debate has run its course.
It took me roughly an hour to clear this thread up. Don't feed trolls and don't respond to flame wars and insults in kind, report them and leave it at that. This should have never spiraled out of control this way, people can disagree and discuss an issue without insulting and flaming the other side. Like it or not, not everyone is just like you and those other people are just as entitled to their opinion as you are to yours. |
