I'm really surprised this didn't get a dub, this was pretty popular when it was airing, wasn't it?

Popular for the wrong reasons, I'd say.

Hellwarden, they could be doing Sentai often does: If a sub-only version sells enough units, make a dub version.

KidOblivion, many anime can get pretty popular when aired that could be dubbed but don't.

Valvrave was fairly popular, albeit for all the wrong reasons.

Namely the incredibly stupid plot and the out-of-nowhere spoiler[rape scene].

Such a shame.... I adored this series, it was fantastic in so many ways. Plus it had one of the best plots I've ever seen in a mecha series. I really expected this to get a dub. But then I thought it would be cheaper without it, and it still isn't that affordable. It was my favorite anime last year but I can't afford it...

Like clockwork people got to bitch about the release and price as always.

Me personally I liked the show at first but by the time I finished it, the show had become a train wreck. Such great animation and music wasted.

Even if the show was dirt cheap like Sentai's prices I still wouldn't want it not because I'm some whiner that Aniplex didn't dub it or match it's competitors price. But because the show wasn't enjoyable enough for me to re-watch it much less want to own it and potentially watch it again.

It was popular primarily because the show was an insane train wreck, yet somehow managed to be stupidly entertaining.

I watched this whole show for Akira Renbokoji. So even if this got a dub or a reasonable price, I'd have to say: No thanks.

I came to complain about the lack of a dub. The fact that it's priced so steeply when it's already being streamed for practically nothing goes without saying.

While the other 2 mech shows that aired at the same time are about to get better releases, it's a shame that this show gets no respect.

Which is shocking when you consider that the writer is Ichiro Okouchi who wrote Planetes which was released in 2003 and was in fact the last well written anime he ever wrote.

Oh wait it makes perfect sense.

I liked this show a lot, but I don't see paying $120 for it.
