Loved the anime for this. Would love it if someone picked up the manga for NA.

I've always wondered how the manga's author intends to end it. The premise is kind of a catch-22 because spoiler[if Makina fulfills her mission, she's going to suffer for all eternity], and I guess that's why the anime adaptation shied away from giving the story a definite conclusion, even after veering away from the source material.

since I'm currently translating the Italian version I'm more than happy to do the English version as well if someone wants to publish it!
(Anime exclamation)/ I love it.

To me, the Corpse Princess anime is way better than most give it credit for. I absolutely love that ending, which I am aware is a rare opinion.

I really do want a release of this in America as well, as it seems like something that Yen Press should have picked up a long time ago (it's gangan so why not).

At least it did not go on forever and thus collecting the manga series would not be ridiculously expensive.

Although it still would damage my wallet in the end. It would be worth it.

Yes, it does seem to be a rare opinion, but I share it.

Wish CR would pick the manga up (they had the anime back during their fansub era). Hope Ouri ends up with Makina.

I never looked into it before but I never guessed that the awfully plotted anime with throwaway characters seeped in stupidity was based on a long running manga. One of my five worst shows; Looks great, sounds great, acted great, everything else about actively hurts me.

If that anime was based on three years of produced story with supposed continuity, then just how bad must the manga be? Horrifying, just horrifying...

I liked it too. I didn't like the series on a whole, but the ending seemed appropriate to me. I've never quite been able to express it effectively, but I saw the story by that point as substantively complete and perfect narrative completion as unnecessary or unimportant. The characters and the story told had come to a sort of 'maturity', more as a wine matures than a person, and the ending represented that.

No kidding.

That along with Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple and Guyver are series that are beyond overdue for a US release.
