Somebody with the same name as the person on the bottom seems to have a live action career. Not sure if the same skills would be utilized with both 美術 and 仕上. Maybe they are the same person, maybe not. There _is_ an Ai Kobayashi Colorist, and 和美 can be read Ai, but the Ai we have is spelled another way. And the timeframe is way off. I think just leave that one alone.

However, the 小林一美 person needs to be split. She seems to be Studio Ghibli's Hype Woman. ...And typing that made me think of some Japanese woman in that Key And Peele sketch. I only have sources on two of the office job roles, but surely some of the folks here buy Ghibli movies and could check. Wink

I'm reluctant on the animator because the kanji is ambiguous. It could be read Ichizō. The "zou" in his Twitter handle makes that look even more likely.

It's obviously not the same person (this one died in 1957), but there apparently was someone named "Kobayashi Ichizou" with the kanji of 小林一三. So I'd say that the "Ichizou" is probably more accurate.

Hmm, either Ichizo didn't come up when I was entering credits, or I forgot to record that I went with Kazumi in my notes. (I'm getting déjà vu from this page though)

Ichizo is looking correct though, and he seems to respond to people on twitter, maybe somebody could ask? I checked twitter's search engine, and it seems he has never tweeted "いちぞう." BUT, there is this.

Ah, thanks. I was hoping there was something in there. The Facebook page is definitive proof to me. Need dormcat here to move the animator's credits to Ichizo, and then the remaining two can be split.

Does he have access to a high level function for moving lots of credits quickly? I thought the SOP in situations like these was to add the misplaced credits to the correct person and then the incorrect credits would be deleted (hidden) in the other person's entry.

I think we know his name is Ichizou Kobayashi. We have a tweet linking to his Facebook profile where it's spelled as such. His Twitter profile links to his studio's website, where we can see his personal work history. Many of those jobs are scattered across Ichizo Kobayashi and Kazumi Kobayashi (misreading of 小林 一三). So these shoulg be in the same entry. It's just a question of:

1) Create Ichizou Kobayashi and move both sets of credits there. (Because that's how he romanized it, and it actually exists but is empty)
2) Add macron over 'o' and move Kazumi Kobayashi (misreading of 小林 一三) credits there. (Not sure if this is possible)
3) Move Kazumi Kobayashi (misreading of 小林 一三) to Ichizo Kobayashi and pretend like there is a macron.

Order of preference.

I've added the macron over the o, and merged Kazumi into Ichizo using the all-new super-safe fully-reversible merge functionality I added to the site a few days ago!
