In the UK, everyone looks at people who don't order a beer or wine with their meals like they're retarded and are ready to jump them. That is more scary than all the sexualization Japan produces. Especially up north.

It kinda bugs me that everyone seems to take the piss at Japan when they sell sex in 'unorthodox' manners when it's easy to list even worse aspects of other cultures. Besides, I don't hear Japanese pop stars saying 'tonight I can suck your d*** and not feel like a slut* like a certain American artist (that's a joke to call them such) tends to do and no one seems to say a damn thing about that, like it's okay for the English speaking world to be so casual about sex but God-forbid everyone else is.

What part of the UK is this? I've never seen it happen where I live.

Happened to me in Huddersfield, Buckinghamshire and London.

EDIT: Although, to be fair, in Huddersfield, I was invited for dinner at a pub. But I had to explain that I was driving to avoid being labeled.

This is the best thing to come out of the industry, I prefer that idols be able to date and marry instead of purity contracts, there's nothing special about purity but there is something special about being married or dating an idol.

Doesn't really matter to me either way. They don't speak my language, I don't speak there's and they live thousands of kilometers away from where I do so the chances of me getting to the stage where I can stick my thing inside them is still only slightly higher than John and George coming back from the dead and reuniting with Paul and Ringo to play the whole of Sgt Pepper in my backyard.

I'm convinced a lot of people who bash idols and/or Japan's sex culture don't pay much attention to their own culture's news stories or celebrities and just read news articles on anime sites as their primary exposure to the real world. If they think this sex thing is somehow exclusive to Japan they are woefully ignorant. So many actresses spill the beans on what they have to do to land roles or still have a career yet none of them really care or criticize that.

I'm not sure if I think this is better or worse than the usual otaku purity fetish thing...

Okay, fine. You're not putting them on some creepy virginal pedestal anymore, but instead you're pimping them out to fans as a promotional gimmick. Is there no middle ground to be had here?

Reading the article, the marriage and dating part becoming a part of the main show, not sure how much of an improvement that is..

Huh. Eri is a lot prettier than the other three, so much so that it's actually distracting.
