I enjoyed the anime. It had some problems, but thought it was good overall. Didn't know that it was getting a recap movie, bit of a waste IMO.

With so many unanswered questions the series ended with, this should have been a sequel. Such a waste to make it a compilation movie. Sad

So...wait wait wait... is this gonna be like an alternate re-telling of the series? It's not going to be a sequel to the series??

That makes me sad, I was kind of looking forward to it...

The novels are still ongoing so a sequel or alternate story was highly possible.

Recap ftl. I'll watch it for even more amazing visuals though. Really underrated anime IMO. I watched it in a spree though so I wonder if the weekly aspect of anime ruined it for the haters. I noticed years ago that certain shows are MUCH better binged than they are staggered. Works the other way around too though.

I watched this series after it had already ended...so I wasn't like...put on a cliffhanger at all...except for that final episode..where I'm like... "Well?? What's going to happen from now?"... OTL

Are we sure it's recap? The dialogue seems kind of new... If it is recap I'm disappointed... I'd like to have seen something new from the world of the series...

I loved the series. The animation was beautiful and I thought Mirai was really cute. It would be a shame if this was a recap movie, but the ad doesn't seem specific if it will be a compilation, sequel, prequel, etc. Will watch anyway.

Maybe they should spice it up with some half naked/naked male fanservice like they did with the last mini judge special?
That could at least stir up some interest.

KnK was the worst series KyoAni have ever done, with the possible exception of Munto. The dialogue was 90% exposition, the central romance had no backbone and towards the end the pacing was all over the place. If this is a sequel movie, I'll watch it just to get past the complete dead-end that the series became. If it's a recap, "how unpleasant". I adore Chuunibyou but even that recap was poorly handled.

This, to me, makes it sound like it is a recap:

As for new dialogue, that doesn't mean that it is a new movie. Chuunibyou and AnoHana both had new dialogue and scenes for their recap movies.

If KyoAni's going to make a film recap to its every series, I'd love to just very patiently wait for the movie, so I wouldn't waste my precious time watching the series.
So they'd better announce it before the series airing date, meh.

Think I won't miss anything much, considering their track record in animating their self-published light novels, which are all kinda dragged and filler-ish (probably due to the limited materials). And since I'm not really a fan of KyoAni (though I liked Hyouka and their seemingly fluid and consistent animation).

So it is a compilation film... So sad. I had hoped for a continuation of the story.

Like others here, I will also be disappointed if this movie is not a sequel. I want some answers to things the series did not explain well. I wanted to like the original series, but other than the gorgeous visuals, the story was all over the place.

A compilation film makes me a sad llama. Would definitely have preferred a sequel.
