OH MY GOD!!! (imagines squealing like an 8 years old girl at a One Direction concert).

Thank you Sentai. Gingitsune is one of my favorite series from 2013. I pretty much enjoyed every minute of it. I am cool with a DVD only release, but BD would be ideal.

Again, thank you Sentai.

YES! Oh man this is awesome! This show was one of my favorites and I was so disappointed when no one picked it up. It such a delightful little show and I loved every bit of it. One of the best shows of 2013. Maybe someone can look into picking up the manga next. I know I would like that.

After reading the scenario this kind of falls into the line of those other shrine maiden or girl with mystical powers who hangs out with a deity shows. Like we have Asagiri no miko or Kamichu. I may have to check this out.

I'm really happy that Gingitsune is going to be released in the west, but I'm sad about not getting the awesome key art collection. Even in Japan it beacome rare to get those big 180-250 pages key art, Kill la Kill and Gingitsune are the one of those rare cases. In Kill la Kill case I can get it from Anime Limited since I live in europe it's more convinet and the whole key art collection from Japan is there (and the price is good, unlike aninplex) but in Gingtsune it's 0% getting it since Sentai just doing regualr release all the time with the anime BD/DVD and that's all. Sad

I wished there was a way to buy that key art collection from Japan without buying the whole blu-ray volume which cost 60-75$.

Or Natsume's Book of Friends... to an extent.

I only watched the first episode and to be honest, I forgot about it. Maybe I'll try watching it again sometime.

Surprised by this. While I did enjoy it...the best I can say about it was that it was a very nice and cute show. Nice to see it has some fans here, but for me there was just something missing from this one.

Still, it is worth a watch.

Yeah, I might (depending on whether I have money or not) buy Gingitsune "blind" simply because I've always wanted to see another anime with a similar premise, setting, and atmosphere as Kamichu!, which I loved, and my main point of reference for Gingitsune, which I wasn't even aware of when it was airing, is that I've seen multiple people compare it to Kamichu!, as a supernatural slice-of-life comedy set partially around a Shinto temple with miko girls and invisible-except-to-the-spiritually-gifted deities, and it's described as a "healing anime", which I presume means lots of scenery porn, another aspect I liked in Kamichu!.

Is that price accurate? If it is, I'd hate to break it to you but that's actually dirt cheap by otaku-oriented late-night anime on Japanese Blu-Ray standards.

I mean, if I had the money, I'd import the Aniplex Kamichu! Blu-Ray set even though it's without subs and that's a good $300+ before shipping.

I would assume that came with a single BD volume, costing $60-75.

Oh, yeah, I skimmed over the "volume", my bad.

¥5,299 (on Amazon JP) still seems fairly reasonable by Japanese standards for any Blu-Ray with a substantial physical extra, altough I fully understand it's expensive by western anime fan standards.

Oh, yeah forgot about that one. There's a few others but I can't think of them mainly because they're fairly new. Surprised
