They expect Frozen fans, particularly the unique Japanese variety, to buy it. And why? Because there's something basically WRONG WITH THEM. 
(I mean, I wasn't crazy about everyone gushing over the bro-hugs in Big Hero 6 either, but at least that one has normal fans...) |

Why was this made? No one in Japan outside of politicians have the money to burn on something like this in this new recession. Then again a rich buyer from HK, the US, or EU could afford this and buy it.

Even with the rare metal Platinum surrounding it, I still can't see how this Frozen-themed calender would be worth $836,000+, particularly since calendars become more useless as the months pass by.
