Lol @ the dialogues.

Good for Hinata. She definitely deserved the spotlight in this.

I find it that they took the Marvel route and announced the next (canonical) movie before the current one was even released.

No they didn't? I was at the first screening of the film on Saturday, and the announcement was made RIGHT at the end of the film. So it had been released.

The ramen poster lives on. May its reign never end. spoiler[Also, no Sasuke again. Didn't even show up to Naruto's wedding. Douche.]

Sakura: By the way, when did Hinata become the main female star?

When everyone and their mother was telling Kishimoto that Hinata would have made a better heroine than you. Poor Sakura, Kishi just had no idea what to do with you.

Glad i'm not spending any money on this train wreck of a series ending.

Enjoy your movie.

Sasuke does show up, he just hides from the crowd because he doesn't want to be a buzz kill.

Yeah. I don't know what to add to that comment. All I can say is "Agreed."

Since Sakura was largely the female protagonist over the series, I'd say that she was the main heroine overall.

Though it still doesn't change the fact that Sakura was kinda made useless because Kishimoto could never figure out what to do with her. Poor girl never got a real chance to shine.

As a whole, the female protagonists got shafted in terms of power compared to their male counterparts.

Yeah, and it didn't have to be that way. He could have done tons of things to make Sakura, Hinata, Ino, Tenten, or all the other female characters relevant and interesting but then just turned it into a boy's club. It was just infuriating to watch at times.

So salty Anime hyper

When a story is bad, it's bad. You can't argue with sound literary criticisms by saying some stupid pairing is canon! That's a Twilight level defense of a story.
