It seems that lately musicals have become a thing in Japan, as I've been noticing manga series getting adapted into these stage plays. There's Attack on Titan, Naruto, a couple of other manga series that I can't recall right now, and now this. At the rate this is going the next thing we know is that the second part of the Dragonball manga (known as Dragonball Z), by Akira Toriyama would get adapted into a musical. (Just joking by the way, but it would be funny if that happen. Can you picture Dragonball Z as a musical?) I wonder why musical adaptations are popular now. I'm curious.
