Oh wow, this is awesome to see: Macross taking #1 over idolmasters and other idol series. Shocked

I'm shocked that Super Dimension Fortress Macross is No. 1 on this poll, considering how old the show is. Perhaps the folks seemed to have a taste for 1990's idol song at the time this poll was conducted?

Macross is still a strong otaku property, and pop music is integral to the various stories. Glad to see it being number one.

Sounds like the people surveyed are around the 25-45 range, both SDF Macross and Creamy Mami are 80's anime.

It's either that or the fans are of a younger generation who just like an early 80s anime title. It's nice that older titles can get high ranks in some surveys.

One thing that people need to keep in mind: only 500 fans took part in this survey, so if this was maybe 1,000 or 3,000 fans that took part in this, would the result had been different?

Wake Up Girls and Locodol are rather low for such recent series.

I can't believe that trash Kirarin Revolution made it.

Yes, I think that would be the case. Obviously, when you do bigger survey groups, you will likely get bigger and more diverse answers.

I keep thinking I should go back and watch Macross, but I never seem to get around to it. Maybe enough time has passed now that memories of Robotech won't interfere with my watching it.

Hmm. Better wait another decade, to be sure.

Is #1 covering the entire Macross series? I can't imagine Frontier not making the list otherwise since it's still a huge, huge property that's churning out massive amounts of merchandise.

That being said, I'm surprised to see AKB0048 that high as I thought it didn't do that well?

WTF is this, can today´s otaku had some kind of enlightenment? Has todays otaku taste improved overnight? Did they see the light at the end of what seems like an infinite dark tunnel? Is the end of the world coming?

Macross where it belong yes, along other classic timeless anime.
