The Hatsune Miku BD was mentioned, but why is it not on the chart?
Is Hatsune Miku not considered to be animation?

Also, since Hatsume Miku was number six that means that Persona 3 and Strike Witches were in the top five for all Bly-ray sales.
I did not realize that anime was that popular, even in Japan.

BluRay sales are always dominated by anime because otaku buy them over DVD.

This one's a concert rather than a film or series. Wouldn't exactly consider it to be an animation since its a live action recording, though it did rank on the overall BD sales rather than just animation. Well done, I guess.

Interesting that Sailor Moon Crystal is back on the ranking despite the animation errors that are present in the Blu-Ray...

The precise ranking is kind irrelevant, it still didn't sell that much. Don't look at the rank, look at the number of sales.

OK, that's enough internet for me. Thank you for the evidence.

The artist is labelled as "Hatsune Miku" (初音ミク) rather than "Animation" (アニメーション) by Oricon, thus it would never make the Animation only list. It was #4 on the Music BD list by the way.

The Animation only list is just a compilation of the Top 20 "Animation" releases from the overall Top 300... so all of them here did rank in the overall BD list, although not all were within the overall Top 30 (which is what is released on Tuesdays in Japan).
