Episode 3:
I'm not sure I like that cat or not. I mean, he is cute and all but also seems a bit childish. Decent episode overall. Since it's a main character, we'll expect to see a lot more of him. And the show continuously retain that comfortable level of comedy that I appreciate, especially in regards with character interactions. |

I like the cat. Looks like he'll help Rokudo save some cheddar, so that's good. I think Sakura should invite the poor guy to live at her place.

spoiler[Hmm.. the new guy was pretty unlikeable at first.. Rokudou vs Tsubasa. Somehow everything was about Sakura's love life. Rokudou was off his game since Tsubasa came. That date sure was interesting ^^ Fun episode!] |

Episode 4:
Really liked the rivalry between spoiler[Tsubasa and Rinne this episode. It brings out a lot from both characters. And not going to lie, but some of the ending of this episode was touching regarding the ghost. I think he was genuinely happy about the date he had despite vanishing at the end.] Good episode. |

Ooooo, Rinne is so jelly! I think the introduction of love stuff is cute.

Tis. The crane game scene was best.
"Don't go thinking you've won." "..........." *smirk* "YOU DO THINK THAT, DON'T YOU!?" |

I really wish they'd say something about that teacher's freaky eyes.

spoiler[Hunting an evil spirit. With money being tight.. it was to be expected. Of course Tsubasa had to meddle in. Interesting that the ghost's story had something to do with Tsubasa. It was nice to see someone kick his ass ROFL Still, things weren't as they seemed at first.. The real evil spirit was a dangerous one! Rokudou's scythe was cool and really came in handy. Just how much debt does he have?! Such a shame..] |

Episode 5:
So we got a ghost girl this week? Fun stuff. And tbh, if my house got vandalized like that with those creepy words, I would freak out a bit too. Good thing we got people like Rinne to get rid of problems like that though. |

That scythe is badass.
*loves scythes* If I was a character, that would be my weapon of choice. A thing I love about Takahashi's works is they are so traditionally Japanese. So old-fashioned, which makes it charming. I don't think she'll ever jump on the modern-style manga bandwagon and I don't want her to. This really makes her style entirely her own. "Hanako of the toliet" Lol, I wonder if this is a real folklore thing......? |

@Chiibi
Hanako of the toilet shows up in other anime and manga about school ghosts such as Haunted Junction. I've seen multiple references to her in unrelated shows. There are other school restroom ghosts as well. Apparently Japanese school restrooms are scary places. |

What's really weird is that all the schools in Japan seem to have the same 7 supernatural phenomena going on, for decades.

I believe Hanako has also appeared in the current airing Re Kan! as well.
Not that it is a good comparison, but I think so far Re Kan has been a bit better. |

I like how they're dressed the same.
I'll have to do a little research on this one.... |

Hanako is also a main character in the four volume manga Hanako and the Terror of Allegory.
That series has some good Japanese ghost/horror stories. |
