Wow, not a Viz release. I am both excited and nervous. I love this franchise and have been eagerly awaiting news of its release (especially since the first three episodes of Stardust Crusaders turned up dubbed on CR a while back) but the DVD only thing is a bit worrisome. It sort of smacks of a very barebones release. Also, I wonder if Season 1 is just Phantom Blood or if it includes Battle Tendancy.

DVD only is kinda to be expected of popular series with all the constant reverse importation fears. And Season 1 has always referred to parts 1 & 2 when it comes to the Jojo anime, not sure why people are so worried about that, unless they somehow forgot to add "Part 1" to the listing.
The remaining mystery is whether it would be dubbed or not. Warner Home Video had no problem previously releasing another show that was a similar length at the same price with dual audio (Supernatural: The Animation), though that probably was a more unique situation so most signs point to sub-only. |

Looks like it's down to $34.99 on Amazon. As if $40 for a first release dual language 2 cour anime wasn't cheap enough lol.
