Awwwwwwww shit, very nice title that got licensed. I'm guessing it will be a Viz signature title so it doesn't get censored or anything.

Yeeeei, in my country it was also recently licensed so very cool. With this, very few Asano works are still unavailable.

Glad it's been licensed, been wanting to read this for a while after reading so many positive things however...
...this is Viz, I've been burned before when they stop releasing a series and until there's a guarantee they'll release all of it I'm not buying any volumes. Don't want to end up with another unfinished series on my shelf. Would rather buy all Japanese volumes and save myself the money if they're not. Will wait and see. Not directed purely at Viz that by the way, Kodansha guilty of it as well, pretty much Yen Press guarantees full release and of highest quality. Wow. I wasn't sure if Viz would pick it up, but they assuaged my doubts. I'll likely be collecting it.
That was during a different time. They have not censored anything they've released in the past few years. I wasn't happy with Bokurano being censored either, but they have released several other acclaimed titles without any incident since then.
I wouldn't hold out hope if I were you. |

Yes. While they probably are the company that has the longest list of censored titles for the U.S. and have done so across all imprints (except SuBLime maybe, not sure it counts) and age ratings, I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt right now. I've purchased some of VIZ's newer titles alongside my JP copies in the last 5 years and been happy. I know it is tough to forget the censorship problems though. For a period of time almost every one of my favourite series they licensed had unacceptable content of one kind or another. But, such things do seem to be rarer these days and hopefully it continues that way. |
