Oh no. That's so sad. I really enjoyed Shindere Shōjo to Kodoku na Shinigami and had been waiting for it to resume (I had thought it was the artist who was unwell, not the writer).
I also enjoyed Back to the Jack a lot. I have a lot of respect for him for detailing his story while in hospital, and that he wanted to leave one more message for his readers. Thank you for bringing us great stories and for sharing your experiences with cancer and hospital, and for keeping a smile on your face through it. |

It doesn't say what his age was at death. Sad news that yet another talent has left the manga craft and yet another series is never to be completed. RIP and may your next life be on a higher level.

Cancer has taken so many, even if we're just talking the manga/anime industry.

The Japanese Wikipedia states that she(?) is a female. Whether that's accurate or not, no idea... |

I did see the Wikipedia listing Himura as a woman, but I couldn't find evidence either way outside of Wikipedia, which is why I decided to leave it as a gender neutral article. Thanks for pointing it out though! |

Probably you should have read The Notebook on Hospitalisation by Himura, Ms Hodgkins. Himura Masaki was a woman. She had ovarian cancer, and she saw a gynaecologist. |

Both Crystalyn Hodgkins and you have mentioned Himura's manga about hospitalisation, and both of you seem not to have even read the first 3 pages of 'Chapter' 1. http://www.ganganonline.com/viewer/pc/comic/n_note/001/_SWF_Window.html On Page 1, Himura wrote, '婦人科' (lit. gynaecology. In this case, it means a gynaecology clinic). On Page 1, the doctor said, 'がん' (cancer). On Page 2, the doctor said, '卵巣' (the ovary). On Page 3, Himura wrote, '卵巣がん' (ovarian cancer). |
