Anyone else placing bets on it being a new movie?
Personally, I'd like the announcement to be Toei putting the anime on hiatus. Not only so they can widen the gap between the anime and manga, but also so they can get their shit together. Quite frankly, it feels like the anime has been severely stagnating the past year. Once the Dressrosa arc is over, hopefully things will pick up again. |

What I'm hoping for is a long ass filler arc or a hiatus, but the latter seems very unlikely. The anime has simply not been that great ever since the time-skip happened, the pacing suffers more and more.
Or perhaps they'll announce a new "Episode of ...", who knows. |

When will people start to understand that "Important announcements" are always good things!
Anime entering in hiatus or ending aren't good news, so when those things happen, they are just announced without any previous warning. Also, since when filler arcs are announced? I never seen such a thing, but if it is some kind of special filler maybe. This announcement can be about the 2016 Movie, but I don't think that it will be just further information of the movie. I hope it will be something else, and that it will be something amazing. |

No, it didn't! Detective Conan was always made, and is made by TMS Entertainment till this day. |

It'd be nice if they did a filler arc that covered some of the side stories covered on the first page of most chapters of the manga. Most of those tell what happened after the Straw Hats left characters from different arcs. For example the former CP9 spoiler[is shown turning on the world government to protect people. Anyone watching the anime wouldn't know this and it would be confusing with their recent return to the manga.] There have been a bunch of other stories, it would be a good way of doing "filler" while still staying canon.

obviously the announcement will be movie related. hopefully a trailer or something or designs for the characters
