I was looking at Takashi Torii's encyclopedia entry and wondering why he wasn't credited as Main Animator on Asterisk war only to find that's credited to Takafumi Torii. After looking at the source i'm pretty sure this is a mistake. On the source for the Takafumi Torii listing you'll find the kanji for Takashi Torii listed under Main Animator.
Can these be merged under Takashi Torii please. Takashi Torii (鳥居貴史) Takafumi Torii |

"Takafumi" is also a legitimate reading of the given name in kanji, and his name is actually romanized that way in the opening credits of Asterisk War. It's possible in this case that "Takashi" is the incorrect name. |

Yeah, you have a point there. If that's the case then could all the credits be moved to Takafumi Torii then? Edit: I looked around a bit and found another example of his name being romanised as Takafumi on his offical AnoHana illustrations. It looks like i've had it wrong all these years lol ... |

Well, it does look like there is a Japanese wiki that has his name reading as "Takashi". But no clue if they are going off of something official or just assuming. I'm going to go with Takafumi for now since two fairly reliable official sources have it as that. |

Yeah, that's the wiki i've used to keep track of Torii's work. IIRC that's a fan updated wiki so that's probably an assumption on their part. I also just checked my Senran Kagura discs and in the OP credits Funimation credited him as Takashi Torii. It seems some Japanese sources credit him as Takafumi mostly and English ones credit him as Takashi mostly. This is all very confusing but it's better to go with the Japanese sources so lets keep it as Takafumi Torii for now. |

Merge: Shuntarō Tanikawa (#135936) and Shuntaro Tanigawa (#20480) -- these are referring to the same Japanese poet.
---------------- Merge: Miho Sakai (#13320) and Mitsuyasu Sakai (#8126) -- these are the same screenwriter. From their Facebook page:
(Unsure if Miho Sakai the cellist is a separate individual -- maybe just moving over the screenwriting credits is enough?) |

I'm not sure how authoritative that site is? It starts with "Animemorial is the encyclopedia about animes (Japanese cartoons)" on the front page, I can't find an "about" page anywhere and the Japanese version of that same page says "はたな" (Hatana) Allcinema and Drillspin say Tanna (たんな). The only reading in JMnedict for 端名 is Hashina (はしな). While Hatana is plausible, I'm not sure that Hanata is even possible. The source links for the three Hatana credits are all the same site, but the pages have all moved. That (French) site is still using Hanata Googling readings: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=%22端名%22+%22はたな%22 https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=%22端名%22+%22はなた%22 https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=%22端名%22+%22たんな%22 animemorial.net is the only site linking 端名 to はたな and there are none for はなた. While the only results for たんな are the aforementioned and, oddly, Wikiedia Korea, it is still 3:1 in favour of Tanna. |
