Well I can't say that I didn't see this one coming unless the news is from an official source I just assume it to be false information until it gets backed by said official source.

The wouldn't make such a public announcement, though. Most bootlegs and knock-offs are released without much promotion so the copyright holder doesn't come in and sue them. There's no way Shueisha and/or Oda wouldn't sue any company that tries this without permission. |

So,it looks like "One Piece" fans worldwide can rest easy,at least for a while. It looks like no one's going to try to a live action version of "One Piece." I've never really got into it myself but I've got the feeling that there are other who might try it and I wouldn't stun me if there were those who would attempt to throw a bunch of money at Mr. Oda just to get his permission to do something like this.
