I have to admit, Unicorn with its theme of human potential is probably the best fit for trying to advertise this kind of movie. Still weird to see Gundam mixed in with Independence Day, even if its only the trailers.

In the end it won't be technology that saves the world but the good old human spirit. Although having a Gundam would help a lot. Cool

Well, Unicorn Gundam itself canspoiler[ glows light], having spoiler[barrier shield(I-Field)], and can spoiler[regenerate its body] which is like typical alien can do.

i think they picked the wrong Gundam universe for this crossover,
it should have been 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer as is in series features battles against extraterrestrials, there are no hints of aliens in the U.C. calendar.

00 movie is a bad choice for crossover. Also Gundam UC is a milking and successful franchise compared to one stand alone movie from 00 who people easily forget. Furthermore Re:0096 Unicorn is currently airing on TV so the crossover make sense with both try to promoting each other.
