Redubbing the series for no reason would be a stupid move on Viz's part, but on the upside, if they do my Warner set is now a rare collector's item.

There is plenty a reason to redub the series. The last dub was flat out bad.

Doesn't VIZ have a track record of really screwing up lately? I remember hearing that they botched Sailor Moon and Ranma 1/2.

I don't care how bad the dub is the fact that they're redubbing it so soon feels weird. Don't know if I should replace my DVDs...

The article states that Viz has not yet clarified if it is redubbing the series or not, it has only said that Patrick Seitz will play Dio. As soon as we clarify with Viz if the dub will be new or not, we will update the article.

Sorry, I am fully aware that it's not fact. Still, it feels too soon and/or they phrased it oddly.

The new Ranma DVDs are pillarboxed and set 1 of the BDs has ghosting present in the OP.

As for Jojo, if it's being handled by Subatomic Digital then there's reason to worry but it would still be better than the awful job WB did with the DVDs.
