Is that supposed to be one of the reasonable and valuable reasons the art get a -D ?
Some people like me prefer this kind "cartoony" character designs like in Stellar Bister Miho or Nerima Daikon Brothers over "beautiful" but mostly bland and generic designs from most harem and dating sim shows. They're edgy and remind me of older shows from the seventies & eighties, and also of the designs charismatic animators like Hiroyuki Imaishi frequently use to add dynamism to their works.
