Well I guess for the time being Pokémon Go has reached it's peak so unless Niantic comes out with a HUGE update like adding generation two or fixing all of the problems with the game they're never get back up in popularity. Confused

It was bound to happen sometime. Imagine when school starts(I am aware schools are in session in July and August).

This is more or less what happens to every game. People only play games for a short period of time, generally. A month is about normal for me.

If it doesn't bounce back soon and continues to decline further, then it formally enters the realm of the short-lived, flash-in-the-pan fad.

They could do a limited time big cross-promotion for the upcoming Sun and Moon and include the Gen. 1 Alola Forms.

Well...The popularity of Pokémon GO had to have hit its peak sometime... Perhaps it'll see plenty more new active users when they update the app with Gen II Pokémon, but that's still quite a ways away.

Seems to be holding up pretty well for me personally, probably because of release in other countries...

thats to be expected with school starting up for both grade school and college students. I can see it lowering even more as fall and winter come when its too cold to even go outside.

Not surprising. People aren't going to keep playing when the only thing around them (if they are lucky enough to not live in nowheresville) is Pidgey, Sandshrew, and Zubat. It's a fun thing to use when you go somewhere, like the beach, Disneyland, etc. But for most players that don't have those luxuries, they aren't finding anything that would keep them wanting to come back.

Hopefully Niantic will update with features people have wanted since the teaser was revealed. Give us battles, trading, breeding. Give the game background privileges with lower battery consumption, and I think they'll see more people playing it again.

It must suck that they delayed the bracelet accessory from it's July date to September. People would have bought that thing on impulse a month ago. By September it'll be a shelf warmer, if they don't breath new life into this app.

It is likely to go down a little further by the time Sun and Moon comes out.

This is a good sign to start programming generation 2, however, Niantic still wants to add a few more features and there are still a plethora of bugs that need to be ironed out.

These days I don't find myself wanting to playing too much these days. Unless they add more Pokemon or fix the game's many problems I don't see that changing anytime soon.
