{EDIT}: Simply quoting a bunch of text from the article and responding with only 1 word is beyond even being a one liner. Next time try and write an actual complete sentence. Thanks. ~ Psycho 101

I admit that I was relatively hooked on This Game too, but when I saw the tweet for this article I immediately thought of Your Lie in April's 1st OP, Hikaru Nara by Goosehouse.

Also, when it comes to D.Gray-Man, I honestly like the 3rd opening, Doubt & Trust by Access, the best.

When it comes to recent years (last two, to be exact), I loved Yona of the Dawn's instrumental only opening, since that doesn't get used a lot. Monthly Girl's Nozaki-kun and Death Parade were also standout openings for me.

I might just be riding the hype train when I say this, but come on, Flyers by Bradio man!

That's actually a pretty good list. I hate AoT, but even I can't deny that first opening is epic.

I'm so happy Bleach is in the top 10. Asterisk was so amazing. It was literally the reason I was excited to watch Bleach each week. I even hoped the characters(specifically Ichigo in his white outfit) would wear the outfits they wore in the opening in the series itself.

Ah...

Should have kept the numbering according to the source. Very Happy

Psh! When it comes to openings, there is only one winner. Maybe two. Or three. Perhaps four.
edit: Add a fifth

That's a pretty strong list, but Death Parade (Bradio - Flyers) will always hold the #1 spot for me.

In terms of "coolness", I can see why some potentially better openings didn't make the cut, but considering I'm obsessed with anime openings I am a bit pissed some of my other favorites didn't make it. I'm surprised Asterisk is on there, as I found it more "hip" than "cool" (at least we see Kon get trampled), and This Game is just about rocking so it's not very cool. Everything else is pretty good.

The results definitely show a favoritism towards series released in the last decade with the exception of Lupin the Third: Part II, Cowboy Bebop and Bleach.

Kids today... *shakes head*

While visual quality has no doubt improved for openings along with anime in general, that alone can't cover all of it. Gotta broaden your horizons, voters Wink[/quote]

Or maybe a lot of people just tend to be biased towards recent memories.

I actually prefer Attack on Titan's 2nd opening and Psycho Pass 2's opening, they're just more visually stunning and artistic in my opinion.

Surprised (and overjoyed) that Lupin got on the list.

But the 1980 one? I always preferred the 89 one.

Polls this small are always pointless. Favoritism toward recent stuff always exist, but its more common in smaller polls. I also estimate that these are mostly younger users that haven't seen much.

Well, a movie is coming. animenewsnetwork.com/news/2016-07-17/no-game-no-life-fantasy-light-novels-get-anime-film/.104415

Providing that does well, I think second season could come after that.
