Odds are good that that's pronounced Enryuu, not Honoo Ryuu.

I was hoping to read maybe first something related to God Hand or Skull Knight but I guess its still pretty neat.

Awesome, hope they make more than just one about Grunbeld. The 4 God Hand, other than Griffith, ideally.

The Miura illustrations all but confirm that this is a LN. I official don´t care anymore if YA can´t be bothered to commission a real book.
The cover to Vol. 39 is a keeper thought.

As long as it's not vital information about their characters, that stuff should be in the manga because there's no guarantee they'd get translated officially.
@ResidentGrigo: yeah, the vol.39 looks pretty cool!

You make it sound like a bad thing.

There's no guarantee they'll be a whole lot information about their character in the manga.

Depends on who the characters are. I'm willing to bet good money that the God Hand and Skull Knight's histories/information will be in the manga (it'd be pretty stupid not to be in there). For relatively important villains like Grunbeld, there should be at least a small flashback about them in the manga like some other villains have gotten instead of being in supplementary material, and they've never been that long, usually only a couple of pages. If the novel's going to have extra tidbits, or not feature anything that majorly important then that's alright though. I guess we'll see.

Skull Knight is a possibility the other members of the Godhand don't know or at the very least I don't expect chapters upon chapters of exposition as it would come off filler-ish (on top of cliche in light of what Shonen mangas have been know to to do from time to time).
It really depends on Miura and whether he wants the storys momentum to keep on after (and when) Caska regains her memories.

@MarshalBanana Turning Berserk into a book with prose and vocabulary that would befit a 6th guarder is pretty much the worst and inappropriate thing you could do, (besides porn). I would read a proper children´s book based on a Berserk, even Vertigo´s Sandman got adult targeted children´s comic GNs, but the bar to pass here is proper book.
