Sounds like another neat Beauty and the Beast idea, but the artist needs to redo Galhi's eyes. They don't look right.

You could argue that he is not Homo sapian. Though, I don't think even Homo erectus was that hairy (not to mention that I don't remember when Homo sapien replaced erectus world wide).

If the story timeline is correct, he wouldn't even be Homo erectus, he'd be Homo habilis. Homo erectus appeared around 1.8 – 1.5 million years ago. Homo habilis still had a lot of ape-like features but also used tools.

Too tall to be H. habilis. Too tall to be anything, really... I mean, it's obviously made-up; probably whatever species the people in Planet of the Apes were.
