Seriously, Crunchyroll get this series. This is 1 based off 1 of the ultimate classic sports manga. Also, it fights under the popular action shounen titles and those often do well here.

If only CR would also get the original series of Hajime no Ippo.

Great. I feel like Joe had a bunch of terrible moments surrounded by a core strong story, so if this inspirations does its job well it's got everything to be better than the original.

No Ikki Kajiwara nor Dezaki, so it's kind of hard to really get hyped. I'm still looking forward to another boxing anime that isn't Hajime no Ippo and will focus more on the drama and life than PUNCH HARDER and USE THE OXYGEN IN YOUR MUSCLES.

Awesome trailer. This is the only time I can accept an original story.

So they are adapting again the greatest manga of all time. I haven't watched the 70's version but I will surely will watch this one.

Edit: Now that I read the report they are not going for an adaptation but for an original story that claims to be inspired by Ashita no Joe. How is that different from any sports anime made in the last 40 years?
