Last day of e2046's "first come first served" sale (they took a few hundred garage kits and put a single copy of each on sale). I picked up an SD Knight of Gold from The Five Star Stories.

Somewhere around here, I have a model kit of the Knight of Gold. Every once in a while when I'm looking for something in the storage room I will come across it. I open the box and look at what appears to be hundreds of parts, shake my head and put it away again. I got it on sale for a couple of bucks from a local store. The owner told me that he stocked it because he couldn't get enough Gundam models to fill the demand and thought it would be "just as good". He couldn't understand why his customers didn't agree. For some reason the store is no longer in business. |

That's a very understandable reaction to Five Star Stories kits, as they're all pretty nightmarish to put together. I bought a 1/100 Junchoon back when I was 16 or 17, started to paint it, gave up on it, put it in the back of a closet, and didn't come back to the kit until I was in my 30s. |

Picked up Ultraman vol 9 on the manga front today. The regular comic shop isn't having many sales lately because they're too busy moving to a new location (not too much further away from their old one).
Also somehow picked up Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 Remix PS4. I'd played the first two waaay back in the day, but kind of got annoyed at how overly complicated it's made itself. But I've also been watching some youtube and twitch playings, and it's supposed to still be fun enough to go back to now and it's supposed to make a lot more sense with all of those interquels in the proper order and be far less of an overly confusing mess this way. So I'm game I guess. I still won't believe KH3 exists until it actually exists though (I mean, they've been "working on it" for longer than some middle schoolers have been alive). And for $30, I'm getting 4 games and 2 of I guess the "less good ones" in movie form. All that seems to be missing is Dream Drop Distance (which is, of course, in 2.8 "Final' Prologue, but there's a lot of numbers they can fit in-between 2.8 and 3). I'm actually rather impressed that at Walmart, you can buy a KH2 poster easily right now in the physical store, like the game isn't over 10 years old or something. |

Went and met a friend in town for coffee so went to the bookstore and nabbed the copy of Honey So Sweet 7 I passed on yesterday as I couldn't remember if I had it, and also got Princess Jellyfish 6 and Twinkle Stars 3...
