Netflix (France) (company#16515) is a duplicate of Netflix (company#10441). Since there are already credited several animes for France, the disambiguation is unnecessary.

Kodansha Advanced Media (company#15576) is another duplicate of Kodansha Comics (company#8388).

I created that page, mainly because it was coming up in news articles and interviews. Kodansha appear to consider it a separate entity, although it is not clear what the exact relationship is:

https://kodanshacomics.com/about/
Quote:
Established in New York in 2008, Kodansha USA Publishing (KUP) is a subsidiary of Kodansha. KUP’s first works under the Kodansha Comics imprint were Katsuhiro Otomo’s Akira and Shirow Masamune’s The Ghost in the Shell. Kodansha Comics is the English-language manga-publishing imprint of Kodansha USA Publishing. Kodansha Advanced Media is a digital-content distributor and producer established in San Francisco in 2015.

It sounds like it's kinda like the difference between Yen Press and Yen On, except physical/digital instead of manga/light novels.

Not so much duplicate companies as it is mistakenly crediting the wrong company:

company#6827 is a broadcaster from France
company#584 is a broadcaster from Canada

The first only airs programs in French. The latter has an English and French feed. The Canadian channels have no relation to the one from France. All of the English shows listed on the France entry are actually shows that aired on the Canadian channel.

DuArt (company#8650) and DuArt Film and Video (company#9575).

Founded in 1922, DuArt has gone by many names, beginning with DuArt Film Laboratory.

When DuArt first got involved with Pokemon (and anime) with Pokemon 3: The Movie, it was credited as "DuArt Digital" (for its digital scan work).

When it took over ADR Production for the franchise beginning with The Rise of Darkrai and TV series Season 11, it was known as "DuArt Film and Video".

As of Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel, it is now known as "DuArt Media Services".

Presently, its official website writes its name as "DuArt Media Sevices", consistent with the credits of the more recent Pokemon movies and series. Note how the "DuArt" logo has remained unchanged after nearly a century since its inception.

DuArt should therefore be the primary identifier for this company, given its many descriptor changes over time.

M&M Studios (#9862) is a duplicate of Estudios Lain (#4543). 4543 should be renamed to M&M Studios.

The company was founded as Estudios Lain in 1986 and later renamed to M&M Studios (can't find when, but the earliest Wayback Machine snapshot of their site is from June 29, 2007). M&M Studios closed in 2012.

Radio-Canada (company#2035)
Radio Canada (company#11987)

Just a hyphen separating the two.

The official formal name for the TV channel is ICI Radio-Canada Télé, but no one in the public says that. Most just say "Radio-Canada" since that's what the brand is on most platforms.

Please merge 17195 and 15354 into Studio Ponoc with スタジオポノック as an alternative name.

And 17196 and 39 into TOHO, with 東宝 and Tōhō as alternative names.
