I can't help but find it funny that they put Mai in a cow bikini. It's just like the ever-so-subtle "MILK" tank top they had her wear in the movies. Laughing

Remember, the Switch is region free if NIS ends up censoring this

I forgot about that. I was just remembering how she's turned into a cow (literally) in SvC Chaos.

I'm thrilled that the Western debut of SNK Heroines won't have any of the content censored! Smile I look forward to seeing Mai fight in her cow bikini.

It would've been more clever if it was basically SNK Gals' Fighters 2, rather than "kinda like that but also typical fan service lady fighter". But alright, I'll take it. I'm not sure why people elsewhere are already getting upset at the prospect of different controls - this seems like a good place to experiment.

Is this Dead or Alive 6?

Anyway, I am happy that this game will be localized completely uncensored.

I heard this game uses just the left control stick and one button. How easy or difficult might this be to get into? I've tried getting into 2-D fighting games in the past, but the execution barrier is just too high (though I'll try Skullgirls if it ever shows up on the Switch). My quarter circle motions get interpreted as simple directions, and my half circles turn into quarter circles.

Your motion inputs need to be a bit faster then, or a bit smoother and coordinated. 2D fighters are all about the split second.

I am hoping there will be some guest fighters for this game. Like Chun-Li from Street Fighter, Asuka from Tekken, and Kasumi from DOA.

If I were to buy this game, my "joystick" would be totally ready.

...Too far?

Maybe even squeeze Tifa from Final Fantasy VII in there while they're at it.

Hmm. I'm already doing them as fast as I can, so either 2-D fighting games are not for me, or I am not precise enough. I feel like whatever my problem is, it's something that can't really be diagnosed until someone stands over my shoulder watching my inputs. But thanks anyway.

(Part of what kind of bugs me is that 2-D fighting games are the only genre where I cannot play competently, so I've tried repeatedly to get the hang of them, to no avail. I can play Smash Bros. games fine enough though.)

From what people are saying, though, even SNK Heroines would be something I can barely play. (I do wonder, if it'll get a physical release, if it'll get a bunch of clueless parents of little girls getting this game due to its really girly-looking logo.)

It's worth noting that so far, nobody actually knows anything about how SNK Heroine's control scheme will work.
