They're pushing Minori Suzuki on audiences pretty hard. Ramen this cour for her first single, this, and I also just read on another site that she's gonna do the new Cardcaptor ending theme. I still don't think she's unique enough just yet but hope I hear something special from her soon.

I think they're still trying to find her niche. Didn't she make her break via a contest?
When she debuted with Macross Delta I was like 'she sounds nice, but like a bargain bin Ranka.' Every song she's in I prefer other singers in. She's not bad, but hasn't found her spot yet. The song I'd think she was best in was Giraffe Blues, but the "Kaname" character from the show has a far superior cover! But I must say I can't turn down Amanchu with a promise Aya Suzaki. |
