I'm glad it's the good Bandai, and not the annoying one. Now please swipe Angel's Egg from Anchor Bay, before your Evil Twin gets it, Jerry.

Bandai Visual Japan has no relationship whatsoever with Angel's Egg, thus not much reason to expect BV USA to bring it over.

And I'm not even too sure what the hell the status is on Angel's Egg anymore; Anchor Bay "licensed" it because of a live-action movie that included portions of it, but they never had any intentions to release the film itself.

I just imported the re-released R2 DVD. Not much dialogue in the movie, anyway.

I grabbed the LE Korean box. You snooze you lose guys, fansubs aren't the only way to lose a sale.

Do you think there's a possibility for a HD Release on Bluray or HD-DVD, too?

halo: The only people who lose money for paying for overpriced imports, without waiting to see if they get a domestic release, are the importers.

Anyway, I hope it's still eligible for Best Animated Film, even though halo noted a Korean dvd release of it. Madhouse keeps getting shut out of the Oscars, even though they've been the most consistent in quality anime cinema in recent years. Also, I hope Vertical picks up the novel.

Hooray I've been wanting to buy this forever. Thank You Bandai!

I hope they will screen the movie in Philadelphia so I can maybe drag my friends to see this.

Ha, I guess I was right GATSU, I knew it'd get licensed before the end of year (I didn't think it'd get licensed so close so the end of the year though). I honestly thought/expected that Bandai would announce a license for a Sunrise title.

Honestly, I'd say the possibility for an HD release right now is 0%. The only R1 company to get involved in the HD formats is Funimation with their recent Broly Double Feature on Blu-ray and Bandai Visual USA (Sony excluded).

Kind of ironic, I downloaded the fansub of this recently, but haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I'll be waiting for the DVD release then. Good choice Bandai-E!

I wonder how much longer I have to wait until this kind of stuff becomes normal. I mean if American companies ever decide to take a leap and really try to push this stuff to the mainstream audience then I'm sure we all won't have to pray for DVD releases.

I really hope that this comes to Washington DC. I'm planning on seeing this in theaters more than DVD.

Cool! I've seen Tokikake before at the IFC theater in NY, but still, this is great news. I'd love to see it again. It's a wonderful movie.

YES!

Time waits for no one!

Tokikake has been one of my all-time favorite movies. Everything about it just seemed to click for me. Very happy it's finally getting its long-overdue release.

This seems to be a good year for GREAT anime movie features: Paprika, 5 centimeters per second, Tokikake.

Looking forward to having all three of them in my collection very soon.

Manslayer: You forgot Bandai visual and their HDDVD/BluRay combo packs with Freedom and Honneamise.
