I hope these spinoffs are profitable in Japan so we can get a Kaiji season three. Looks like they're milking the fan base to support these spinoffs to get a season three.

It seems that you have not read the 1-nichi Gaishutsuroku Hanchō manga.
I bought the tankōbon of 1-nichi Gaishutsuroku Hanchō and read them in the original.
Actually, the names of these characters are Numakawa and Isawa respectively. (The tankōbon of 1-nichi Gaishutsuroku Hanchō have furigana for names.)

As to the Japanese proper noun 石和 Isawa, if you were knowledgeable about the geography of Japan, you would know about 石和温泉 the Isawa hot-spring resort in Yamanashi Prefecture.

I'm kind of getting tired of these spin-offs. Wasn't the Tonegawa one not even by Fukumoto?

I mean, even if we're not getting Kaiji, it's not like they can't finish Akagi, or adapt Gai or Ten. Or anything else. Jeez.
