Forum - View topicfast.ANN too fast? Last action not captured on initial reloading of page.

Very consistently, on desktop and mobile, my last action will not be captured when the existing page is refreshed. For example, after adding a particular anime to my seen some/seen all list, or to a custom category list, the page will refresh, but the exact same page as before will be loaded, and the last action made (added to list) will not be reflected. Only on the second refresh, the page will be updated and the anime is added to seen some/seen all, or the custom category list.
Is this a known issue? |

Can't talk on behalf of ANN but the known cause for this is the first page reload being faster than updating the database. The "fix" for that is to not go directly to the page, but to put the user on a different page, like a redirect page.
You can see that "fix" being applied on this forum when submitting a post. What websites like Google and Microsoft do is putting you on a link that only responds when the INSERT query is updated, then redirect you to the page. |
