Dragon Ball Super: Broly would only need to pass $26m to cross Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie's gross adjusted for inflation, which still isn't that high of a bar to cross at this point.
Hopefully this convinces FUNi to give the next Dragon Ball movie (whenever that will be) a traditional wide release on 2,000 screens with regular showtimes. I work at a movie theater, and each show for this is selling out. It's actually annoying because we have to turn a LOT of people away because of that. I think a DB movie with a decent marketing campaign and traditional release could cross $40m at the US box office, as long as the movie itself is good with enough hype surrounding it.
