Cheru Watanabe These two are the same person. The correct name is "Cher Watanabe" since this is the name most sites use to refer to him. VGMDB has an entry of him with a lot of information, including his real name, aliases and the musical units he was part of. Official proof of the spelling. |

I. Ian James Corlett (person#5270) (real name), Jerry J. Todd (person#181855) (alias) and Jerry Todd (person#4621) (erroneous[?] variant of alias)
Corlett has liked tweets that identified him as being in Key the Metal Idol and playing Shuichi Tataki (along with Peter Kelamis, who replaced him for later eps). The ending credits directly credit the main actors, as seen here, only the name credited for Shuichi is Jerry J. Todd, not Jerry Todd. A comparison of Todd and Kelamis' performances as Shuichi can be found here. Jerry J. Todd was also credited for Dragon Ball Z from the beginning of the Ocean dub (at least in the home release, verifiable here) to the end of the first run (taken from TV version of Tree of Might). With the exception of FUNimation’s The World of Dragon Ball Z feature, Corlett has seemingly never been credited officially within the show itself (not that Corlett being Goku has ever been a problem for us to recognize or publicity to mention, but that’s just what it is). II. Ricco Fajardo (person#107339) (correct spelling) and Rico Fajardo (person#168599) (mistype) As demonstrated by the FUNimation blog page the ANN news article linked to Rico is derived from, which had spelled Ricco’s first name correctly. III. Bryn Apprill (person#126375) (correct spelling) and Bryn Appril (person#170362) (misspelling) A common misspelling of Bryn’s last name in her voice work, not the least of which is Bulla in Dragon Ball Super. IV. Evan O’Connor Jones (person#7867) (full name) and Evan Jones (person#10065) (variant) Jones’ name varies between releases, as demonstrated by The Return of Cooler: Original release (as Evan O’Connor Jones [Mixing Engineer]) Remastered release (0:51) (as Evan Jones [Mixing Engineers]) V. Jeffrey Miller (person#16136) (correct spelling) and Jeffery Miller (person#53515) (incorrect spelling) and This rotoscoper/paint-animation editor’s first name is Jeffrey, as confirmed by his LinkedIn. VI. Jessie Mancilla (person#10256) (correct spelling) and Jesse Mancilla (person#14462) (variant) While Mancilla has been credited as Jesse before (such as in the first two Budokai games), Jessie is the correct spelling, as per his LinkedIn. VII. Daniel Mancilla (person#7864) (correct spelling) and Daniel Maneilla (person#167120) (mistype/variant) While the Maneilla spelling has technically never been used in anime (most certainly not in Yuri!!! on Ice), it had shown up at least once before nearly 20 years ago in an early, non-anime FUNimation work: Chuck E. Cheese in the Galaxy 5000 (1:01:29). VIII. James Marsters (person#70394) (real name) and David Gray (person#166761) (alias) When interviewed by leading Dragon Ball expert Geekdom101 in late 2018, Sean Schemmel revealed (1:25:00-1:25:52) that Marsters was Zamasu – something he was able to do (and Geekdom was able to broadcast) without ramification since it was conducted post-release, "and now the cat’s out of the bag.” Schemmel additionally notes having spoken with Marsters about Dragonball Evolution. |
