The visual novels are effing amazing, it's a shame the anime couldn't really do it justice.

One thing to note if you haven't played the game, the anime has a HORRIBLE tendency to shove important plot points that deserve at least 5 minutes of screen time into the 30 seconds after the ED. It cane be confusing if you're skipping past OP/EDs and suddenly a major plot point has been glossed over.
Also if you have any interest in the game, play it first since the anime covers Lupin/the true route which is only unlockable by clearing the other 4 characters first. |

This was the first time that I played the VN that the anime was based on and yeah... I actually dropped it after a few episodes because I kept getting frustrated. |
