The Sound Euphonium movie / Violet Evergarden movie did make it here so we shall see....

I’m looking forward to this possibly being picked up by Funimation, like the first 12 episodes. It’s also great to see Poplin and Dusty in the FPA art.

I imagine this will be like the Yamato reboot and these will get re-released as TV episodes at a later date and we get the TV episode version in the US.

That might happen while movies to TV adaptions are gaining popularity at least when it comes to Gundam and Yamato.

I have to admit despite the generic character designs especially for the Empire side the fresh take on the novels is actually pretty entertaining so far cause I think they might animate scenes that might not have made it into the original OVA or they might take a different spin on it. I actually like the reboot its not as good as the original, but it really grew on me and I'm actually quite hyped for the movies.

I will point out that the BD versions of 2199 and 2202 were broken up into individual episodes on the disc itself I'm assuming the same for the LoGH S2 Parts as well.

I wouldn't expect any new material. The old OVA adaptation was not a strict adaptation of the novels--they integrated various short story and side novel content into the main story. And whatever they couldn't fit into the main series, they adapted in the Gaiden OVAs. It's kind of insane how thorough it is.

I wish it was sooner but I'm glad it's coming. With it being a movie rather than a TV show though, I wonder if we'll have to wait like 4-12 months after theatrical release to see it streaming or if it'll be quicker.
