I mean, it was announced the day before, so... As for why not, say a week ahead of time, my guess is in part because they try to schedule it for airing on time and in part because it takes time for the PR department to rubber stamp everything. |

Does Crunchyroll have a deal/partnership with Discotek Media? Most of the stuff released lately on Crunchyroll is licensed by Discotek.

From what I've been able to gather, these types of dubs oftentimes get done pretty close to the broadcast date, even when things are on schedule, so they probably waited to announce it when they were certain they weren't going to stay on schedule. I am curious what the circumstances are. There are occasions where an actor fills in while one of the cast is sick, for example, so it's not like there isn't precedent for making do under certain circumstances to avoid delay. |

This happens every single time Funimation Simulcasts the dub on the same day as the sub. Something happens between the companies and they decide to scrap the whole "same-day simulcast" promise and delay it by two weeks.
It makes me groan every time I see a "same-day dub" promise from them because I know this will inevitably happen. |

I think Funi or Crunchyroll should say in their "same-day simulcast" announcements that "it will be a same-day simulcast as often as possible" in that marketing language thing they do. |
