I hope this isn't a short, but with such a simple plot (which is just designing a Premium Dress and performing in it) says otherwise.

If you mean short episodes, then no, it won't be a short. It's taking over a half-hour timeslot (where Paw Patrol is currently airing).
If you mean a short series, then yeah, this is unlikely to be longer than 1 or 2 cours. Friends was basically cancelled and now they're filling the rest of its intended year with something that's supposed to boost Aikatsu's declining popularity. Hopefully there is a new series after it.
